Senator Bucco Comments On Fedral Response To I-80 Sinkhole

Bucco talked about the need for ongoing collaboration to fix the persistent problem.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Senator Anthony Bucco thanked U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy for his visit to Route 80, where repairs of multiple sinkholes are still underway.

"I thank Transportation Secretary Duffy, the Federal Highway Administration, Governor [Phil] Murphy, and the [New Jersey Department of Transportation] for their swift response and partnership to address the sinkhole situation on Interstate 80," Bucco said.

The multiple sinkholes, which have caused significant disruptions on one of New Jersey's busiest highways, have been an ongoing obstacle to officials working to reopen the roadway.
