September 11 Remembrance Ceremony Planned For Parsippany
The remembrance ceremony is dedicated to all those who died in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center 22 years ago.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — Residents of Parsippany are invited to the annual community gathering to observe the 22nd anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks in Parsippany Township.
The 2023 remembrance ceremony will take place on Monday, Sept. 11, at 8:40 a.m. at the 9/11 memorial monument site in front of the Parsippany-Troy Hills Municipal Building.
The ceremony honors all those who died in the World Trade Center terrorist attack, including the seven from Parsippany-Troy Hills.

"Residents are invited to join Township officials and clergy in remembering those who perished that day. We especially remember our community members lost on that day: Martin Boryczewski, Antoinette Duger, Jason Kyle Jacobs, Michael Pescherine, Thomas H. Polhemus, Maria Theresa Santillan, and Michael C. Sorresse," township officials said.
Members of the local clergy will provide commemorative prayers at the community gathering, which will be followed by the presentation of a ceremonial wreath by VFW members.

The service will close with the names of the Parsippany-Troy Hills residents who died that day being read aloud, followed by a time of silence.
The ceremony will take place rain or shine. If the weather is bad, the ceremony will be moved inside the Municipal Building to the Council Chambers.
