Teenage Soccer Star Praised By Parsippany Mayor And Council
Dylan Mazzarella was officially presented with a proclamation at the March 21 Parsippany-Troy Hills Town Council meeting.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A local middle school soccer player was recently commended by Mayor James Barberio and members of the township council for his recent sports achievements.
Dylan Mazzarella was recently invited by US Club Soccer on the 2023 id2 National Selection International Tour to England, which will be held from March 30 through April 11.
Barberio presented the Parsippany resident with an official proclamation, celebrating his accomplishments and hard work, at the March 21 Parsippany-Troy Hills Town Council meeting.

Mazzarella is currently an eighth-grade student at Central Middle School and will be attending Delbarton School in the fall.
While at the 2023 id2 National Selection International Tour, Mazzarella will participate in a multi-faceted experience of training, games and cultural excursions to London and Manchester.

“Dylan exemplifies hard work and determination,” Barberio said. “He set his sights on a goal and pushed himself to attain those goals. Parsippany could not be more proud of this young man.
The 2023 id2 National Selection International Tour officially kicks off on March 30 with a two-day domestic camp in New Jersey before traveling to London and Manchester for an immersive training, competition and cultural experience.
The United States Olympic Committee and the United States Soccer Federation have both approved the id2 program as an Olympic development program. Barberio stated at the council meeting that Mazzarella was one of 72 young players who attended the id2 East Coast National Soccer Camp in Tampa, Florida, this past January.
In honor of Mazzarella and his achievements, the council designated March 21 as "Dylan Mazzarella Day."
