Why Did The Turtle Cross The Road? Asking Bloomingdale Police

BLOOMINGDALE, NJ — Bloomingdale police went on a slow speed chase recently, tracking down a huge turtle trying to cross the road.

"So here’s something you don’t see everyday. Officers stumbled and found a HUGE turtle trying to cross the road," Bloomingdale police shared. The turtle was about halfway across the road when officers were able to grab it.

After taking some mug shots — okay, it really just posed for photos with the officers helping him — the turtle was taken back to the river.
