Boat Capsizes In Point Pleasant Canal, No One Injured: Report

No one was injured when a boat capsized in the north end of the Point Pleasant Canal late Sunday afternoon, thanks to numerous emergency responders, according to a report in Jersey Shore Hurricane News.

Seven people were on board. The boat was heading north through the canal, which is well know for its dangerous currents. The canal connects Barnegat Bay and the Manasquan River.

The seven people on board the boat were uninjured, he said.

Numerous emergency agencies responded, including the New Jersey State Marine Police, the Coast Guard, Point Pleasant Borough firefighters, first aiders, and police.
