Crash, Downed Pole Cause Delays On Bridge Avenue And Burnt Tavern Road Friday
Police asked drivers to avoid the area, and said the road will be partially closed for at least several hours.
POINT PLEASANT, NJ — Officials alerted drivers of partial road closure Friday near the border of Brick and Point Pleasant and are asking people to avoid the area, after a crash caused a pole to fall.
Bridge Avenue is closed westbound at Riverwood Avenue until at least 2 p.m., Point Pleasant Police said shortly after noon. The Ocean County Sheriff's office also said to expect delays on Burnt Tavern and Bridge Avenue in Brick due to the accident.
Jersey City Power and Light shows a power outage in the area, affecting up to 500 customers.
