Point Pleasant Man Who Died In Construction Accident Was Young Father Of 3

Peter Martorana died on Wednesday from injuries when he fell 30 feet from a school roof in Franklin Township. He leaves behind 3 children.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ - The man who was killed in a construction accident earlier this week was a young father of three, according to an online fundraising page that has been set up for his family. Peter J. Martorana, 39, was killed in the Franklin Township accident on Tuesday.

Peter left behind his wife, Katherine and three children, Benjamin, 8, Grace, 5, and Maxwell, 2, along with a host of heartbroken family members, the GoFundMe page said.

Katherine's sister left a message from Katherine on the GoFundMe page:

“Yesterday morning I lost the BEST husband, father, friend...just the best man that anyone could ever be so lucky to know. He was patient, kind, funny, hardworking, handsome...man was he handsome!!!

According to the page, his "whole world" was his three kids.

"He adored them in every way and did everything to make them happy. They sat like puppies by the front door waiting for him to come home from work everyday. As for me..there wasn't a day that went by that I didn't feel how much he loves me. Pete showed me everyday in every way. I was so lucky. My heart is broken. I love you more, Pete, forever.”

As of Thursday morning, $22,105 has been raised for the family.
