Help Refill School Supplies For Point Pleasant, Point Beach Classrooms
The Kiwanis Club is collecting supplies to restock public school classrooms to help teachers meet students' needs. Here's how you can help.
POINT PLEASANT, NJ — The Kiwanis Club of Point Pleasant is collecting school supplies to replenish classrooms in the public schools in Point Pleasant and Point Pleasant Beach.
"The school year starts out with supplies, but by the middle of it many classrooms are lacking," the club said in announcing the supply collection.
There will be collection bins out starting Saturday, Jan. 4, through Jan. 31, in the following locations:

- Point Pleasant Beach Police Station lobby, 416 New Jersey Ave., Point Beach
- SheShed Eatery, 606 Arnold Ave., Point Beach
- Wish Upon a Jar, 3128 Bridge Ave., Point Pleasant
- Divi Tree Coffee, 2615 Bridge Ave., Point Pleasant
The Kiwanis Club also is looking for volunteers to help organize and distribute the supplies. The distribution is set for 2 p.m.-4 p.m. on Feb. 15 at the Woman’s Club of Point Pleasant, 513 St. Louis Ave., Point Pleasant Beach. All are welcome to volunteer with us, including kids.

Teachers who teach at the public schools in Point Pleasant and Point Pleasant Beach can sign up here to come get supplies.
What to Donate
The following items are needed to restock classrooms:
- Pencils & pens
- Crayons & markers
- Highlighters
- Index cards
- Paper
- Notebooks
- Folders & binders
- Dry erase markers
- Disinfecting wipes
- Paper towels
- Tissues
- Hand sanitizer
- Reward toys
- Sports balls
