Funeral for Felix Crincoli of Point Pleasant Beach is Jan. 4
Former optometrist in Elizabeth survived by son in Point Pleasant Borough

Dr. Felix A. Crincoli passed away on Wednesday, December 26 at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home in Edison.
Born in Elizabeth in 1919 to the late Mary Marshott and Anthony Crincoli, Felix lived in Chicago while attending the University of Illinois College of Optometry. He settled in Point Pleasant Beach in 1970.

He served in the United States Army during WWII in North Africa as a Senior Tech prior to his honorable discharge.
Dr. Crincoli was a well-known Optometrist in the City of Elizabeth for over 50 years. He served as the City Eye Examiner for over 40 years and received numerous awards for his community service.

He was bestowed with a testimonial dinner hosted by many dignitaries including the city’s mayor in the late 1950's and was also widely known to decorate his office window with seasonal and regional themes with the assistance of his late wife, Mary Jane.
Dr. Crincoli also served in a number of civic roles, including: Police Commissioner for the City of Elizabeth; Past President of the Elizabeth Lions Club; Past President of the Roselle NJ Golf Club; Past President of the Vallatese Italo-American Club and most recently was recognized by Elizabeth’s Mayor Dunn on February 21, 1992 with an official proclamation and “Salute to Mary Jane and Dr. Felix Crincoli Day.” In addition, he was a former communicant of St. Anthony’s Church.
His beloved wife of nearly 70 years died on October 24, 2010. He is survived by three children; Anthony of Florida; Pamela Cannone of Pa.; and Philip of Point Pleasant; seven grandchildren: Brian Cannone, Stephanie Albanese, Michael Crincoli, Matthew Crincoli, Philip Crincoli, Jr., Daniel Crincoli and Thomas Crincoli. Also surviving are five great grandchildren; Gianna, Emilio, Marco, Nicholas and Johnny.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 4 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
Family and friends may attend the visitation hours from 10 a.m. to noon Friday in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
