OceanFirst Bank To Close Two Point Pleasant-Area Branches
The bank is shifting its focus to expanding its digital banking offerings.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ – Two of the Point Pleasant-area OceanFirst Banks are among the nine branches along the Jersey Shore scheduled to be closed soon as the bank takes a turn toward digital banking.
The branches located on 701 Arnold Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach and 3100 Route 88, Point Pleasant, are scheduled to close in late December or early January.
According to George Destafney, OceanFirst Bank's, the reason for the closings is that more and more customers are moving towards digital and online banking, and the bank decided to make that more of a focus.
