Dogs must be licensed and are only allowed in areas that are not in use.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ - The borough "Geese Force" is looking for a few good dogs to chase geese away from borough lakes, school fields and parks.
The project allows licensed, unleashed dogs accompanied by their owners to chase geese away from areas where the geese frequent, including the Little League field and the G. Harold Antrim Elementary School.
Membership in the Geese Force is limited to residents, property owners, renters and tenants who live in Point Pleasant Beach, according to the borough website.

"But as lawns have proliferated, more and more of these grassland-adapted birds are staying put in urban and suburban areas year-round, where some people regard them as pests," according to allaboutbirds.org.
For more information, contact Board of Health Officer and Dog Warden Karen Mills at 732-892-3757. The cost to participate is $10.
