Point Pleasant Beach 2021 Election Results: Borough Council

Current councilman Andy Cortes was trailing by 500 votes against Republican challengers Rosa Crowley and Michael Ramos.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — The Point Pleasant Beach Borough Council will have two new council members, based on unofficial election tallies from Tuesday's General Election.

Michael Ramos and Rosa Crowley, who the local Republican club endorsed, had leads of 500 votes over incumbent council member Andy Cortes, according to Ocean County election results.

The results are not official until they are certified by the Ocean County Clerk.

Cortes, who did not receive the endorsement of the local Republican club, ran as an independent.

There were no Democrats nominated, but Ernest "EJ" Geiger, a Democrat, was running a write-in campaign. Write-in totals for Geiger were not immediately available. According to the unofficial election results, there were 40 write-in votes cast in the four districts.
