Point Pleasant Beach Schools Named Apple Distinguished District
The designation honors the district's use of technology and its innovation.
POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — The Point Pleasant Beach School District has been named an Apple Distinguished School District for the ways it has used technology and its innovation, the district announced.
In addition, both of the district's schools has been honored as Apple Distinguished Schools for "its leadership with technology, innovation, and educational excellence."
"Apple Distinguished Schools are centers of leadership and educational excellence, with a clear vision for how technology-rich environments support learning goals," the district said in announcing the honor.

"In Apple Distinguished Schools, forward-thinking leaders and their communities work to inspire, imagine, and impact teaching and learning, and they have documented results of academic accomplishments," the announcement said.
The designation by Apple of these schools opens up resources for the district to support teachers and education goals.
