Point Pleasant Man Dies In Construction Accident In Franklin Township

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP - A Point Pleasant man died after he fell off 30 feet off the roof of an elementary school under construction, according to a report on mycentraljersey.com

Peter Marotana, 39, was found unconscious and unresponsive at the base of the building at 125 Claremont Road.

Despite lifesaving efforts by both police and emergency medical services, Marotana pronounced dead at a local hospital, the report states.

Marotana was working on the roof of the building when he fell, police said.

Construction at the site as shut down while personnel from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration began their investigation, police said.
