POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — The Point Pleasant Beach Police Department is getting ready for the 2025 summer season.

Part of that preparation is hiring Special Law Enforcement Officer Class I officers to help with the seasonal policing needs.

Applications are being accepted now and can be found on the Point Pleasant Beach police website under Recruitment.

In addition to Class I officers, Point Pleasant Beach police are accepting applications for Class II officers, parking enforcement and part-time dispatcher.

Interested applicants may fill out the form here to apply. They should attach a resume and cover letter.

The minimum qualifications are:

  • Must be 18 years old
  • Citizen of the United States
  • Read, write, and speak the English language well and intelligently
  • Have at least a high school diploma or its equivalent
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License
  • Good moral character, sound body and in good health
  • Not convicted of any offense involving dishonesty or which would make the person unfit to perform the duties of the office.

  • Resume/Application Information Sheet Review
  • Oral Interview
  • Psychological Examination
  • Background Investigation
  • Medical Screening
  • Urinalysis Screening
