Update On Fire At Apartment Above Kohr's In Point Pleasant Beach
Firefighters provided an update to a recent fire that occurred above Kohr's at the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH – Firefighters provided an update to a recent fire that occurred above Kohr's at the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk.
The April 12 fire caused damage to one upstairs apartment above Kohr's, according to the Ocean Fire Co.
The fire was discovered when Ocean Fire Company & PPBFC#2 were dispatched to Kohr's Ice Cream on the boardwalk for a commercial fire alarm.

Department Chief Mike Ryan arrived on location and discovered smoke showing from the upstairs apartment above Kohr's.
First-arriving fire units entered the apartment and located a fire in the kitchen. Crews knocked the fire down and performed ventilation. Additional crews arrived and assisted with overhaul.

The cause of the fire was deemed a faulty refrigerator by the Ocean County Fire Marshal's Office.
