Owner of the Sand Bar, Union Lane, Brielle, is charged on Tuesday by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's office with allegedly shooting a woman in his restaurant parking lot.

On Wednesday, the Ocean County Prosecutor's office announces its own set of charges against Cataldo for allegedly shooting at four police officers descending upon him in his Point Borough home where he holed up for hours on Tuesday.

A man who had been charged in connection with killing a Point Boro man in Long Branch is now facing charges of killing his neighbor in Manchester.
UPDATE: Point Beach to Fight Court Decision Threatening Parking Plan
Superior Court Judge Vincent Grasso, while noting that the Point Beach parking plan ordinance is mostly sound, rules against it. Grasso opines that Councilman Michael Corbally had a conflict of interest when he voted for the parking plan that restricts overnight, summertime parking in most of District 4 and part of District 3 because Corbally owns a real estate business in District 4.
The town expects to file for a stay so it can keep the current parking plan in place while they decide whether to appeal it. The Point Beach Council will hold a special meeting on this and other issues at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Borough Hall on New Jersey Avenue.
Corbally Resigning from Point Beach Council
On Thursday, the day after Point Beach received Grasso's decision in the mail, Councilman Michael Corbally resigns, citing frustration with the judge's decision and vowing that he voted for the parking plan because he was confident it would improve the quality of life.
Point Beach Council to Pick One of Three Democrats to Replace Corbally
Democrats are mum so far on the three people they will nominate to fill Corbally's term, which expires at the end of this year. Corbally had filed to run for reelection, but that plan ended with his resignation.
