Police Blotter: Stolen Bicycle and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

The following incidents were reported by Princeton Borough Police for Aug. 4-5

 

A Harrington Park man was arrested on Aug. 4. around 2:15 a.m. after beingstopped by police on Alexander Street for failing to signal a turn, found to have an active traffic warrant from Princeton Borough Municipal Court, and in possession of two pipes commonly used to inhale crack cocaine.

George Pinkerton, 53, of Laroche Ave, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and released on $120 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 13.

Two male residents of Denmark were arrested on Aug. 5  shortly before 6 a.m. and charged in connection with bicycle theft.

Rasmus Bojsen, 27 and Kristian Hanghoej, 23, were charged with theft, criminal mischief, possession of burglar’s tools and criminal trespass. 

According to police, a patrol officer saw a resident in the 100 block of Witherspoon Street chasing the two people north along the street. Bojsen was riding a bicycle and Hanghoej was running on foot.  The victim said the two accused had just stolen the bicycle from his front porch where it was locked. 

The officer caught Bojsen while Hanghoej fled on foot.

Police said the two used a metal pipe to break the bicycle lock.  While attempting to steal a second bicycle the victim confronted them and they fled.  

Princeton University Public Safety officers  spotted Hanhoej on campus. Borough Police took him into custody.  

Both men were released and are due in court on Aug. 13.
