Council to Discuss Pedestrian Safety, Planning Board Rt. 17 Redevelopment This Week
Take a gander at some things going on over the next few days in the village

After a lull in the last week of June, local government has quite a list of topics to discuss this week. The council has a big agenda on Wednesday while the planning board talks zoning quandries, and looks to decide on a new chairman Tuesday. There will definitely be fireworks this week, we can assure you that.

Monday:

The 101st begins at 9:00 a.m. with the flag raising, ends late with a fireworks extravaganza.
Tuesday:

The Ridgewood Planning Board concepts beginning at 7:30 p.m. It will also choose officers and committees during its re-org session. Planning board chairman David Nicholson .
Wednesday:
The Ridgewood Village Council will be meeting for a work session that includes a pedestrian safety discussion on the intersection of Oak and Franklin; Ridgewood Water's capital budget; the firehouse cell tower status, and more. On closed session, there will be a discussion of a Ridgewood Water acquisition possibility. Meeting starts at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday:
The Kasschau Shell will be hosting Squeaky Clean for some swingin' favorites at 8:00 p.m., sponsored by The Daily Treat.
Speaking of food, Joan from the Ridgewood Library Cafeteria will be teaching kids aged 5-8 how to make pretzels. They also get to hear some cool stories. A $5 material fee is required. The event starts at 4:00 p.m.
