Despite Heavy Rain, No Reports of Flooding
Rains expected over the next few days could change all that
[Update on Monday at 10:00 a.m. – Things are still OK, as the rains of last night have tapered down to a light drizzle. The area remains, however, under a flash flood watch.]
Although heavy rains have left Ridgewood residents indoors or under umbrellas, village officials report no flooding, power outages or damage as of late Sunday afternoon.
Even the new turf fields that have been maligned by residents for their appear to be holding up well. A quick drive by RHS Stadium and Stevens Fields showed little sign of water issues, spare some pools of water along the track at Stadium Fields.

The Ho-Ho-Kus Brook has kept water within its banks and has not exceeded the three foot flood level stage. It's held pat at around 2.20 feet, as of late Sunday afternoon. The fire department has not had any reports of flooded basements and police have not responded to any calls, officials from both departments told Patch.
But with thunderstorms and constant rain expected to dump and a flash flood warning still in effect, there's no guarantee these conditions will remain.
