Village Planner Blais Brancheau will be providing the planning board the latest set of revisions on the so-called . Businesses now are considered "fast food" if they are located in the B-1 or B-2 business districts and serve food in paper containers or do not use silverware and/or glass cups.
However, Brancheau said that the lines are often blurred between what's fast food and what isn't. The council elected not to make any changes in March, saying they were worried about the possibilities of larger-than-life burger chains (thought to be McDonald's, Wendy's and Burger King) from opening up. Brancheau said the myriad of village codes related to signs, architecture and historical district would protect the village from many of its concerns.
