Fatal Shooting Under Investigation In Hackensack

HACKENSACK, NJ - Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in Hackensack.

At 1:19 a.m., Hackensack police received a 911 call reporting a possible shooting outside of a Grove Street residence and responded to the scene, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim, who was pronounced dead, the prosecutor's office said.

An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and Hackensack Police Department, according to the prosecutor's office.

On Sunday afternoon, officials did not identify the victim nor announce any arrests.
