1) The Village of Ridgewood is really gearing up in preparation of Irene. You can see a series of valuable tips by the New Jersey Emergency Management office, Homeland Security and Red Cross. Additionally, the village has a link to getting on the county's emergency notification list as well as updates from The National Hurricane Center.
2) The is now on Twitter. So go ahead, follow them if you're hot on the social media trot.
3) Governor Christie said in a statement Thursday night that toll collection on the Garden State Parkway would be temporarily suspended south of the Raritan River and on the Atlantic City Expressway beginning at 8 a.m. Friday.

4) Check out Ridgewood News article on the pending progress at the Habernickel property. Kelly Ebbels reports there's a money problem – the village might not have enough to do Graydon ADA improvements and demolish a house on Habernickel to finish the project. As a result, there could be a delay. Definitely read the story.
