GLEN ROCK, NJ — Police pursued a stolen vehicle after an attempted burglary on Abbington Terrace early Friday morning, authorities said.
Police went to the home at 1:40 a.m. after getting a call about someone trying to break in to a home through a back door. Officer John Tarantino passed a Subaru station wagon that was speeding while he was searching the area, said Chief Dean Ackermann.
Tarantino tried to stop the vehicle as it went onto Harristown Road, but the driver refused to stop, Ackermann said.

The vehicle belonged to a resident on Gramercy Place, the chief said. The owner left the keys inside while moving cars in the driveway the night before. There was more than $1,000 worth of property inside it, including a set of golf clubs. Police found a mountain bike near where the vehicle was stolen.
