Glenn Ender Sworn in as Lieutenant

Ridgewood police officer received the oath on April 10.

With colleagues and family on hand, Ridgewood Police Sgt. Glenn Ender was officially sworn in by the council Wednesday, April 10 as Lt. Glenn Ender.

The 19-year veteran took over as one of the department's four lieutenants following the retirement of Dave McDermott in December.

He recently received a commendation for coordinating a stakeout that led to the capture of jewelry store robbers on Goffle Road in spring of 2011. Ender has also worked in the detective bureau during his time on the force.

John Chuck was also sworn in as a sergeant on Monday, April 8. He'll receive the council ceremony in full regalia on May 7.
