VIDEO: Helicopter Lands At Vets Field Friday Afternoon

Police, fire, EMS and a crowd of Ridgewood residents were at Veterans Field Friday afternoon to see a helicopter land for a medical transport.

Though it wasn't disclosed where the chopper came from or what the medical ailment was, a male was taken by stretcher to a Valley Hospital ambulance en route to the village medical center at about 2:30 p.m.

Once a far more common sight in the village, the only Vets field landing of late was a medical transport from Berkley Township in Union County on the night of June 21.
