Man Groped Child Under 14, Bergen County Prosecutor Says

A Hackensack man was charged with crimes against a child under 14, prosecutors said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Hackensack man was charged Saturday for crimes against a child under 14, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said that on Friday, Nov. 1, the Hackensack Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the "alleged sexual contact of a child."

An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office determined that Martinez-Martinez groped a child under the age of 14 in Hackensack.

He was charged with second-degree luring, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.

He was taken to the Bergen County Jail for a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.
