NJ Lottery Player Wins Powerball Prize With Ticket Bought In Bergen County

A lottery player who bought a ticket in Bergen County won a prize on Saturday, NJ Lottery officials said. The jackpot has climbed to $1.1B.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A player who purchased a Powerball ticket in Bergen County won a cash prize on Saturday, an NJ Lottery spokesperson said.

The player, who purchased the ticket in Garfield, won $50,000 on Saturday, the spokesman said. The ticket was bought at Food Village at 247 Midland Ave. in Garfield.

Last week, two players who bought tickets at other Bergen County stores won smaller amounts, the NJ Lottery said.

On Saturday, someone who bought a Mega Hot 7's ticket at Ridge Service Station in Lyndhurst won $10,000.

And on Thursday, a player who bought a Holiday Cash Doubler ticket at the Garfield Wawa on Jewels Street won $10,000.

Meanwhile, the NJ Powerball jackpot has climbed to $1.1 billion, with a cash option of $503M.
