A Ridgewood man wanted on a warrant out of Saddle River was charged this week with assaulting a village police officer, authorities said Wednesday.Ridgewood Lt. Glenn Ender, Officer Kyle Finch and Officer Sean Amoruso responded to a call at the Best Court residence of Anthony Ventura around 12:30 Tuesday morning, according to police.When police attempted to take Ventura into custody on an active warrant out of Saddle River, they claim the 20-year-old resisted arrest, assaulting Finch in the process.Ventura was <a href="https://ridgewood.patch.com/groups/police-and-fire/p/ridgewood-man-arrested-after-scuffle-with-police-outside-comedy-club">charged earlier this year with resisting arrest</a> after an alleged scuffle with cops outside a Hasbrouck Heights comedy club.After Tuesday's incident, Ventura was charged with resisting arrest and aggravated assault on a police officer, and subsequently turned over to Saddle River Police.
