Pedestrian Struck By Train In Glen Rock
NJ Transit officials said the woman was alert and transported to a nearby hospital by EMS.
GLEN ROCK, NJ — A female pedestrian is in the hospital after commuter train struck her, a NJ Transit spokesperson confirmed to Patch.
According to NJ Transit, Bergen County line train No. 1281 departed Hoboken at 10:17 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive at Waldwick Station at 11:08 p.m.
A few minutes before its arrival, the train struck and injured a woman walking in the vicinity of Glen Rock Borough Hall Station.

The extent of her injuries are unknown. However, following the incident, NJ Transit officials said the woman was alert and conscious and transported to a nearby hospital by EMS.
Officials said there were 45 customers on board the train at the time of the collision. Neither they nor crew members sustained any injuries.

It was not immediately known why the pedestrian was near the tracks. The investigation is still ongoing, officials said.
