Procedure for Debris Removal Outlined by Village
Items should be placed on the house-facing side of the sidewalk for pickup.

The village is asking that residents follow a few simple rules for having branches and debris picked up, as well as water-damaged bulk garbage items.
For branches that have fallen during Irene, the village is asking that residents place the items on in front of the sidewalk closest to the property, not on the curb or street. Sidewalks should not be blocked, nor should the street. If a pickup isn't made, the village is requesting that residents not call for at least two weeks. They're busy, you know. Tree stumps will not be taken, just branches.
Water-logged garbage can also be taken. Again, place it at the curb for collection. West side residents get the first crack at bulk pickup on Wednesday. East siders are being told they should just leave it at the curb. The pickup should be done by the 20th of September.
