Ridgewood HS Bands Kick Off Kasschau Shell Concert Series
Twenty-two seniors were recognized at the June 6 concert.

Thursday evening, June 6th the Tunes in June Concert of Ridgewood High School Bands kicked off The Kasschau Memorial Shell summer season. Jeff Haas, who has been nominated for music teacher of the year by the Grammy Foundation, selected a program that was inspiring and fun. The Symphony Orchestra conducted by John Luckenbill played selections from the score of Les Miserables, while among the numbers played by the Concert Band were selections by Stevie Wonder.
Twenty-two seniors who had come through the high school music program were recognized and a number of students performed solos. Austin Kim, the marching band major conducted the Concert Band while Miranda Canilang and Kathryn Leung performed on the clarinet and Zachery Flicker and Akari Armatas played a duet with bass clarinet and euphoniam.

It was a splendid night that concluded with John Phillip Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever and the tapping feet of the audience
