Ridgewood Poised to Place Ad Panels at Train Station
Two-year contract could add as much as $60,000 annually to village coffers in joint NJ Transit venture.

After several discussions, the village council will be readying a contract to all around the .
According to Village Manager Ken Gabbert, by allowing Titan Advertising to place a series of ads on the , the village could bring in as much as $50,000 to 60,000 per year.
It will cover up some of the decaying walls adorned by murals, walls the village has deemed too expensive to repair.

New Jersey Transit, which has control of the platform, will also be erecting advertising panels on its section of the property. The village is concerned about three panels facing the parking lot due to aesthetics, though it has no real say over what the agency decides to do.
The two-year contract gives the council limited degree of control over the advertisements. Titan reps say there's a stringent process to eliminate questionable content on ads.
