Subway Coming Soon to Downtown Ridgewood
Chain will be the third national sandwich franchise to occupy store on the same block of Ridgewood Avenue.
Work on a new Subway franchise is underway in an East Ridgewood Avenue storefront.
The space at 70 East Ridgewood Avenue previously contained Warehouse Chic Accessories, a small jewelry and fashion chain with four other locations in New Jersey.
Subway has not specified when the sandwich shop will open. Other nearby franchise locations include Glen Rock, Midland Park, Hawthorne and Fair Lawn.

It’s not the first time that a national sandwich chain will attempt tenancy on the avenue. Just across the street, the current location of Red Mango previously housed a Blimpie, and later a Quiznos.
