This Week in Patch: Jamboree, Field Policy Changes, Council Meeting
Take a look at what's going on here over the week.
This week in Patch, we'll be taking another look at Jamboree, movement on the volatile field lights/use issue, road infrastructure, what the village can do with all that snow, village department manager salaries and much, much more. For now, see what's going on each day during the workweek.
Monday:
On Monday the Ridgewood Board of Education will hear the proposed changes to the fields use policy made by the Field Committee. The issues of priority of use (most of the participants playing sports on the fields will not be school-based) and the time in which games can be played (neighbors and many elected officials have said they think 10 p.m. is too late).

The West Side will receive rearyard collection; Area 5 will have recyclables picked up.
Tuesday:

The Board of Adjustment will be meeting in the Sydney Stoldt court room for its regularly scheduled public meeting. The East Side will see rear yard pickup along with recycling area 6 on Tuesday.
(which was canceled last week after snow shut down schools) will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino right around Christmas and now it's JWOWW's turn. The Jersey Shore silicone star will be signing copies of her book The Rules According to JWOWW at 7:00 p.m.
There will be Chinese brush painting for kids at 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday:
The village council will be meeting for its public meeting at 8:00 p.m. in Village Hall.
Wednesday will also finally feature the A Taste of Bergen County food and wine event that's been postponed many times due to weather. Tickets are $35 or $60 for VIP and the event begins at the Woman's Club at 7:00 p.m.
The cat rabies clinic canceled from a January snow storm will be in Ho-Ho-Kus from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Ho-Ho-Kus Ambulatory Garage on Warren Ave.
Librarians will make a presentation on the benefits and follies of Google-ing at Ridge Elementary School at 7:00 p.m.
Jamboree, returns beginning on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. at B.F. Middle School. The show will run through Saturday.
Thursday:
Get your taxes in! The village gives a 10-day grace period to and Feb. 9 is probably the very last day you want to be testing things if you haven't already filed.
The Ridgewood senior organization HILT (Highlights in Leisure Time) will be hosting an open house for new members at the Ridgewood Community Center from 10:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The girls varsity basketball team will take on rival Paramus at 4:15 p.m. in Paramus. The boys will play Paramus at 7:00 p.m. in a rematch of a game in which Ridgewood won handily last time but benches nearly cleared with a brawl.
Friday:
Tombstone will be the movie matinee at the library at 1 p.m.
The boys basketball team will take on Teaneck at 7 p.m. at home.
Party band Don't Call Me Francis (which has performed with Jay Z, Prince, Alicia Keys, Tears for Fears, KC and the Sunshine Band and many others) will be at Blend on Friday night.
