Valley Awarded for Eighth Consecutive Year as Top Inpatient Care Provider
J.D. Power and Associates distinguished Valley again after survey data showed the hospital is among the best in the country with inpatient services.

If it's starting to sound like a broken record, is quite alright with that. For the eighth consecutive year, the hospital on N. Van Dien Ave has won the J.D. Power and Associates Distinguished Hospital Award.
Valley is the only hospital in the country to have been recognized for providing outstanding inpatient experience for such a length of time, and were the first in the tri-state area to win the annual award.
In a press release issued by the global market research firm, John Clark, director of provider programs, lauded the hospital's nurses, physicians, technicians, support staff and administrators.

"This recognition places The Valley Hospital among an elite group of hospitals that exhibit operational excellence, while simultaneously creating a unique caring, healing environment for patients. This is a tremendous achievement that everyone within the hospital and the community it serves should celebrate," he said.
The determination was made after J.D. Power and Associates surveyed recently discharged patients about their experiences while at various hospitals, and then compared the results to national benchmarks established by the firm's study, the release said. The telephone-based research focused on speed and efficiency; dignity and respect; comfort; information and communication; and emotional support. Valley exceeded benchmarks across all levels and scored particularly well in the courtesy doctors show patients.
