SOHO will feature about 5,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor with 58 apartments and resident amenities that include a fitness room and an outdoor courtyard. Nine apartments will be designated as affordable units. Parking will be available at ground level and in an underground garage. Estimated completion will be sometime in the fall of 2023.

“We’ve raised the bar again here in Fanwood,” remarked Mayor Mahr after the groundbreaking. “It’s a gorgeous, gorgeous building.” Mayor Mahr was joined by Borough Council President Anthony Carter and Fanwood Development Director Liz Jeffery.

SOHO stands on the site once occupied by a building housing medical offices and the former Intensive Therapeutics. It is being developed by Landmark Companies which developed the very successful Station Square townhomes at 2nd Street and LaGrande Avenue. The site contractor is Boyce Construction. Financing is provided by TriState Capital Bank.

“We look forward to another successful collaboration with the Borough and are committed to making SOHO a truly spectacular addition to Fanwood’s downtown,” said Matt Leshetz, Vice President of Construction and Development for Landmark Companies.
