A 63-year-old bicyclist, Jose G. Grosso, from Rahway was struck by a car at the intersection of South Ave. and La Grande Ave. in Fanwood at 4:19 p.m. on Friday. The driver of the car is a 75-year-old Fanwood resident. According to the Fanwood Police Department, the case is still being investigated and there are no charges at this time. Grosso suffered numerous injuries and was transported to UMDNJ, where he is currently being treated. None of the injuries are life threatening. Fanwood Police Department urges any witnesses to call the department at 908-322-5000.
