Scotch Plains To Recognize Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

Sunday is Nation Law Enforcement Appreciate Day to recognize the service that law enforcement does for the community.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — The Township of Scotch Plains will celebrate the men and women of law enforcement on Sunday, Jan. 9.

This Sunday is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day and Scotch Plains Councilman Matt Adams said it is the time to appreciate law enforcement officers for their dedication and service to the community.

"The Scotch Plains Police Department is a model for the nation on what community policing should look like," Adams said. "As the son of a retired police chief, I could not be more proud to serve as the liaison from the governing body to the SPPD, and I look forward to working with Chief Conley and all of the members of the department to ensure they have the support and tools they need to protect and serve our township.”
