Planning Board, Traffic Enforcement: South Brunswick This Week

Here's what's happening in South Brunswick this week:

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Hello neighbors. Welcome to another edition of the Monday manual where we tell you what's happening in town this week:

Planning Board

The township's Planning Board will be meeting on Wednesday, at 7 p.m. Here's the agenda.

Traffic Enforcement

In an effort to address recurring traffic safety concerns within the Township, the South Brunswick Police Department will be conducting the following directed traffic enforcement details through Jan. 31:

  • West Side: Finnegans Lane - Speeding, distracted driving, and turning violations

Road Work & Closures

Kendall Park Gas Line Replacement Project - Undertaken by PSE&G, this project involves the replacement of the natural gas infrastructure throughout much of Kendall Park over the course of 16 to 18 months. Multiple crews are working daily, and a concerted effort will be made to reduce the impact of closed roadways and detours on vehicular traffic. When the replacement project is complete, the roads will be milled, paved, and striped.

  • Russet Road
  • Stillwell Road
  • Poe Court
  • State Route 27

Water and Sewer Utilities - This project, undertaken by S. Brothers General Contractors, involves the replacement of the water and sewer utilities in the below areas. In addition, there will be tree removal and curb/ sidewalk replacement. Primary roadways affected are:

  • Benson Road
  • Dillion Road
  • Tyne Court

Water Main Replacement - This project, undertaken by Underground Utilities Corporation, involves the replacement of an existing water main and services in the below areas. The work will take place during weekdays between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Primary roadways affected will be:

  • Norton Road
  • Welcome Farms Road
  • Donner Court
  • Ellis Court
  • Walden Pond Way

The anticipated completion date for the above projects is March 2025.
