Springfield Employee Recognition: Denyce Yannazzone

Building Department employee recognized for saving money through investigation.

Eight Springfield Employees were recognized for their service to the Township at a morning “Mugging event” this month.

Township Administrator Anthony Cancro gave eight employees with superlative service records mugs in recognition of their on-the-job achievements. Before presenting the mugs, provided by Investor’s Savings Bank, Cancro spotlighted the how each employee was an asset to the Township, and thanked them each for “making a difference." 

Building Department Technical Assistant/Office Manager Denyce Yannazzone was recognized for discovering a $12,000 savings for the township. Yannazzone saw that the money was in a trust account for an elevator inspector company that was not performing inspections. The contract was terminated and the money was put into Springfield’s general fund.
