Springfield Fourth of July Parking Guide
A large stretch of Meisel Ave. will be closed down, but ample parking is available.

The forecast calls for high temperatures and clear skies. Due to the fireworks-friendly weather, the organizers of Springfield's epic July 4 celebration say that between 2,000 and 3,000 people will flock to Meisel Park during the course of the event.
And since Meisel doesn't have parking lots we thought a parking guide was in order.
Meisel Ave. will be closed between Linden & Milltown Roads from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

People are welcome to park on side streets where parking is legally permitted around the event.
Visitors looking for a lot should park at Jonathan Dayton High School and walk the path through the back of the High School onto Meisel Field.
