The 10U Springfield Minutemen Baseball team made it back to the Cal Ripken tournament. This year the Tournament, which kicks off on July 16, is held in South Brunswick. Eight teams will compete. In 2009 this same team at the 9U level lost in the Semi- Final game of the State Tournament. The winner of the State Tournament will move onto the 2010 Regional Championship in North Tonawanda, NY (Just south of Niagara Falls). This is the first team in Springfield history to make it to the States twice and look forward to the challenge ahead as they play the best teams in NJ in the next couple weeks.
