Springfield Township Committee member Marc Krauss reports that the Township's recent partnership with online auction service govdeals.com has brought in $38,183.99 for the township as of Friday, June 11.  This money will be put back into the general fund. The largest selling item was a front loader for $20,000, which Krauss said was greater than the $6,000 the DPW would have received on a trade in. Krauss spearheaded Springfield's involvement with Govdeals, a service that lets municipal governments throughout America put surplus and seized goods up for auction sales.
