Another Pedestrian Hit By Car At Summit Crosswalk: Police
A 76-year-old man was hit while crossing a street in Summit Monday afternoon, police said.

SUMMIT, NJ — After an 81-year-old man was hit by car on Sunday, a second pedestrian was hit on Monday afternoon on Orchard Street, according to police.
The victim, a 76-year-old Summit man, was taken by Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad to Morristown Medical Center and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to spokesperson Amy Cairns.
Cairns told Patch that the driver of vehicle, a 66-year-old Westfield man, was driving southbound on Orchard Street when failed to see the pedestrian in the crosswalk. The driver was issued a summons at the scene, Cairns said.

The 81-year-old who was hit Sunday evening at the intersection of Mountain Avenue and Larned Road was also taken to Morristown Medical and is in stable condition, according to police.
