Classic Cars And Art Coming To Summit Sunday For Festival
The annual Arts & Cars festival in Downtown Summit has been scheduled for Sunday. It includes live music, food, and kids' activities.
SUMMIT, NJ — You don't have to wait for the leaves to change in order to see color in Summit. The annual Art & Cars Downtown Art Festival and PAL Classic Car Show in Downtown Summit are scheduled for this coming Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There will be live music, a wine and beer garden, food trucks, and more.
"The Summit Downtown Arts Festival, co-organized by the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, is back!" notes an announcement from Downtown Summit. "This is an outdoor, juried art show with plenty of art and wares for sale. "

The Two Main Events:
- The Arts Festival will be located on Springfield Avenue between Maple Street and Summit Avenue.
- The Classic Car Show is organized by the Summit Police Athletic League (P.A.L.) Hundreds of classic cars will be displayed on Union Place, Bank Street, and lower Beechwood Road. For more information or to enter, visit http://www.summitpal.org.

- Krazy Kevin & Paul Fessock DJ 10 a.m.-11 a.m.
- World of Rock Trio - 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
- BBD Rhythm & Blues Band 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m.
- 52nd Street Band - 3 p.m.-5 p.m.

Children’s Activities
Activities will be provided by the Summit YMCA, The Connection, and other local nonprofits on Springfield Avenue. "Come color the street with sidewalk chalk," the organizers say.
Food Trucks
Food trucks will be located on Bank Street. Most downtown businesses also offer takeout that you can bring to the beer garden too. Interested in being a food vendor? Email amanda@summitdowntown.org
Beer & Wine Garden
The Beer & Wine garden will return to downtown in the Bank Street Parking lot. There will be several beer and wine options available beginning at 11 a.m. A portion of proceeds will go to charity.
People of all ages are welcome inside the Beer & Wine Garden, but only those with proof of age over 21 will be allowed to purchase drink tickets. No beer or wine will be permitted outside the Garden. Have your ID ready when entering the garden. Drink tickets will be available to purchase for $7 each; cash only. Volunteers can sign up.
Summit Farmers Market
The Farmers Market will be open at 22 DeForest Ave. from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
