Arts & Cars Festival Returns To Summit This September
From vintage cars to food trucks and live music, the Arts & Cars festival will offer a day full of entertainment for Summit locals.

SUMMIT, NJ — This year's Arts & Cars festival in Summit will feature arts and crafts made by local vendors, vintage cars on display, live music, food trucks, a beer garden and more.
Hosted by the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey and Summit Downtown Inc., the festival will take place outdoors on Sunday, Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Summit locals will be able to purchase art pieces made by local vendors along Springfield Avenue between Beechwood Road and Summit Avenue.

While strolling the festival, attendees can also enjoy live music and entertainment. The stage for all live performances will be located in the middle of the intersection of Beechwood Road and Springfield Ave.
Here's the lineup for the festival:

- 10 a.m. - 11 a.m: DJ Mr. Socks Spinning tunes
- 11 a.m. - 1 p.m: World of Rock Trio
- 1:30 p.m. - 2:45 p.m: Zuko, Phillips, Cohn & Star
- 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. - BBD Rhythm & Blues Band
The classic car show, organized by the Summit Police Athletic League, will include hundreds of classic cars displayed on Union Place, Bank Street and lower Beechwood Road.

Children’s activities will also be provided by the Summit YMCA, The Connection and other local nonprofits on Springfield Avenue.
Kids are invited to color on the street with sidewalk chalk, and Krazy Kevin and Shawn the Balloon Man will be joining festival to entertain guests.
Henna by Helen will be on Springfield Ave. offering free henna tattoos, as well.
A variety of food trucks will be located along Bank Street. The following options will be available:
- Angry Archies offering seafood items and sandwiches
- Summit's Mr. Chi with his hot dog cart
- CAS Pierogi & Kielbasa truck serving Polish specialties
- Puras Paletas with their gourmet ice pops
- Pizza Vita with their truck slinging pies all day
Last a beer and wine garden will be held in the Bank Street parking lot.
A selection of wines donated by Cambridge Wines and an assortment of beers from Bull 'n Bear Brewery will be available beginning at 11 a.m. A portion of proceeds will go to charity.
People of all ages are welcome inside the Beer & Wine Garden, but only those with proof of age over 21 will be allowed to purchase drink tickets.
No beer or wine will be permitted outside the beer garden. Attendees should have their ID ready when entering the garden. Drink tickets will be available to purchase, cash only.
Summit Farmers Market will also be open before the festival at 22 DeForest Avenue from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
