Authorities Investigating Summit Structure Fire

The Summit Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the city Sunday morning.

The fire department responded to Dale Drive around 10:30 a.m. Sunday after neighbors reported seeing flames in windows of the first and second floors of the structure, authorities said.

The Millburn Fire Department also responded to the scene in the initial alarm on automatic bid, authorities said. Mutual Aid units from Union, Westfield and Springfield assisted in extinguishing the fire.

A Summit Fire Investigation unit, Summit Police and Union County Cause and Origin units are investigating the cause of the fire.
