Council to Discuss More than $2.8M in Bond and Capital Ordinances
The ordinances, to be introduced at Summit's Council meeting tonight, include $1.618 million for capital improvements and the rest for other improvement projects.

The introduction of a $1.618 milion capital ordinance tops Summit's council agenda meeting, set for Tuesday night at 7:30 pm.
The expenditure for 'various capital improvements' is but one of several such ordinances on the council's agenda totaling more than $2.8 million. Other ordinances slated for introduction include:
- $500,000 for the DeForest Avenue Improvement Project;
- $250,000 for the Middle Avenue Improvement Project;
- $140,000 for Parking Utility Various Improvements;
- $358,800 from capital surplus for various capital improvements
An ordinance establishing 2013 salaries for city employees will also be introduced.

Changes in some traffic and parking regulations will be set before the council as well. Those changes include two-hour parking on Dennis Place; no 'right on red' for vehicles turning at Clark Street and Springfield Avenue; and lane restrictions at Broad Street and Springfield Avenue.
