Free Thanksgiving Meal, Activities In Summit Thursday

Besides the holiday meal, touch football, open gym activities, a family movie, and arts and crafts are planned.

SUMMIT, NJ - A free Thanksgiving meal will be served at the Summit Department of Community Programs, 100 Morris Ave., on Thursday from noon to 3 p.m.

The catered meal will include roast turkey, traditional side dishes, pies, and other desserts, as well as coffee and beverage service, organizers said.

It is co-sponsored by FLAG of Summit, GRACE and Oakes Memorial Center along with Bristol Myers Squibb and Brandywine Senior Living. All members of the community are welcome.

Besides the holiday meal, the event will include a touch football, open gym activities, a Thanksgiving themed family movie, and arts and crafts for children.

This event is free and open to all Summit community members, and no pre-registration is required. The Senior Connections Bus will provide transportation for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Call 908-277-3932 or email dguidajr@cityofsummit.org to schedule transportation.
